Today I want to share with you an episode of the Vacuous Vocation podcast I was just on. The host is Matthew Geiger, a PhD student in economics who is writing about how the state causes more suicide than would otherwise exist in a free society.
I first met Matt in 2018 when I got the chance to “audit” Mises University, a week-long crash course in Austrian economics put on by the Mises Institute in Auburn Alabama.
I ran into Matt again at FreedomFest where he was manning a booth promoting the Carl Menger Institute for Market Economics, an exciting new educational project he is involved with.
Matt’s a living example of what Mises University is all about: exposing students from across the world to these ideas in the hope they take root and blossom.
We talk about economics, political philosophy, the meaning of life, human flourishing, societal values, and all manner of interesting things.
I hope you enjoy it!
Naturally,
Adam
