I long ago lost count of how many times I’ve heard some talking head or politician or teacher or prominent industry leader say something to the effect of, “The last thing we need here is another straight, white man.” If they’re especially weird, they’ll sometimes throw “cis-gender” in there too.
For over a decade, our culture has been reflexively racist and sexist, with a weird preference for homosexuality over boring (and probably colonialist) “straights”.
This is all weird and wrong and destructive, of course, but it’s especially sinful when it’s done to children.
For today’s short article, I want to point you to an article I stumbled across on Substack. It’s by Toni Airaksinen and it does a great job highlighting the problem and its severity and the far-reaching, society wrecking effects of such behavior.
Perhaps more importantly, I want to recommend a short documentary called The Lost Boys: Searching for Manhood. It’s about what has been happening because of the way we have demonized “maleness” to impressionable boys and young men.
It’s tragic and demonic and it absolutely must stop.
Telling boys and young men that their very essence is “toxic” and “problematic” can lead them to hating and disfiguring themselves, of course. But it can also lead them to hating and disfiguring you, too.
Even if you don’t have the sense and heart to stop this madness for the sake of boys and men and a healthy culture, you should stop it for your own safety.
You don’t want to live in a society where men take seriously the thought that they are hated because they are men.
Please take the time to check out the documentary and the article. I promise it won’t leave you untouched. They are both well worth the time.
Naturally,
Adam
I’ve watched this for a long time. I have sons and talk to men. It is not progress to make productive people the most hated. Progressives are progressing in the wrong direction.
