I apologize for the empty inbox yesterday. I was travelling back home to Las Vegas from an in-person meeting of the Libertarian National Committee in Providence, Rhode Island. It was a great meeting. We’ve got the statists and cronies and central planners on the ropes. The free society is within reach!
(hope it ain’t a mirage)
For today, I wanted to share two podcasts I listened to during that long plane ride. The first is of Eric Weinstein on the TRIGGERnometry podcast from a couple weeks ago.
Eric Weinstein is an interesting fellow. I disagree with him in certain ways, of course. But he’s clearly brilliant and I always hear very interesting and thought-provoking things when I listen to him.
In this interview, I wondered if Eric has been cribbing from my Substack! He was praising the value of admitting you’re uncertain when that’s the appropriate epistemological position to take.
He was also highlighting the increase in “IQ” (he didn’t use that term) when a person forces themselves to do things that make you grapple with unyielding reality.
And he was emphasizing how critically important it is that our society once again embrace masculine virtues rather than try to socialize them away. We need positive masculinity in our world now more than ever.
These are Haman Nature concepts!
This interview goes into a lot of different and fascinating areas, especially considering how short it is — just 75 minutes.
Enjoy!
The second one is Marc Andreessen on the Joe Rogen Experience from around the same time period. This one is a little over three hours long, but it’s absolutely fascinating.
Andreessen is a very rich tech giant. He was a life-long lefty, who has gone on quite an intellectual journey over the past 10 years or so.
If you have any friends or family who are disturbed and confused by the recent political realignment in this country and what it all means, this is a great podcast to share with them.
Andreessen is absolutely brilliant. And while I don’t endorse absolutely every syllable he utters in this interview, I still think the whole thing is massively worthwhile your time.
You will learn a lot of things. The world will become more clear to you. And you might just have the perfect “Rosetta Stone” with which to begin to have productive conversations with friends and family who have been separated from you by a cabal of lying politicians and “news” organizations.
Enjoy!
Naturally,
Adam
Thank you for the recommendations! Always helpful.
Hadn't seen Eric Weinstein on Triggernometry. Thanks for that find!
