What does the 2024 Olympics tell us about who is responsible for the destruction of France?

It might not be who you think.

People have been commenting for a while now that France (and many Western European countries) are in danger of being destroyed because of an extremely rapid and massive influx of immigrants, largely from Muslim countries.

Not that immigration is necessarily a bad thing. In fact it’s usually a very good thing, assuming that the newcomers share the values of the existing citizenry and embrace the moral and legal order they are voluntarily joining.

But importing people who are loudly proclaiming that they don’t want to adopt your cultural values, mores, and laws — and in fact want to replace them with their own — is a recipe for disaster.

Douglas Murray wrote a book in 2017 about this phenomenon called The Strange Death of Europe. I disagree with Murray about foreign policy issues, but he’s right about this.

So, when one looks at France and sees a country in crisis, we might be tempted to conclude that it’s immigration that’s the problem.

But we would be wrong. There is a deeper sickness that is effecting France — and much of the West. It’s the poisonous ideology of woke, identitarian, green, leftist, progressivism.

That destructive force preceded the immigration crisis, and it’s much more deeply rooted in the government and the culture — and it’s much, much, much larger.

As a demonstration of this claim, I present the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

This travesty went off the rails right at the start with an opening ceremony that managed to offend all of Christendom with a bizarre display of grotesque horrors including a sexualized transgendered depiction of Jesus’s Last Supper by Leonardo de Vinci.

And yes, it was meant to parody the Last Supper. Don’t believe the panicked reframe.

Other weird elements included the appearance of Marie Antionette, holding her own decapitated head. Are they celebrating the Reign of Terror now? The bizarre farce was punctuated by a visit from what appeared to be an avatar of Death, riding in on his pale horse.

Charming. Also not subtle. Whoever created this expensive and insulting middle finger raised to Western Civilization wasn’t shy about telling us how they really feel about us all.

Even an atheist like myself was offended. You don’t have to believe in God to know it’s very poor manners to shit all over other people’s sacred beliefs like that.

Couldn’t they have just given us a nice hackneyed French mime show? Surely that would have been horrific enough?

But of course it gets worse. This weird modern version of leftist ideology poisoned a whole array of aspects of these Parisian Summer Olympic Games.

In an effort to make this Olympics “green” they decided to torture the athletes and treat them like prisoners in some third world prison.

Here in a supposedly first world country, and in the middle of summer, the Olympic organizers denied the athletes air conditioning. As Paris’s mayor Anne Hidalgo said about the decision last year, “I have a lot of respect for the comfort of athletes, but I think a lot more about the survival of humanity.”

They also cut way down on the amount of meat provided. “Eat tofu, it’s better for you!” cried the sadistic jail guards — I mean, International Olympic Committee (IOC) hosts — “We have to reduce our “carbon footprint… for some stupid reason.”

Well okay, they didn’t exactly say that, but the food quality was awful. There wasn’t much meat. What little there was was often cooked wretchedly. And worse, they often literally ran out of food.

I’m not kidding. A first world country hosting the Olympics in their capital city ran out of food for their hosted athletes.

They also denied the athletes proper mattresses. Instead they gave them some weird and uncomfortable cardboard bed abomination that is supposed to be more “sustainable” or something.

After much loud complaining on social media and elsewhere, these stupid and evil policies were reversed. But the point was made. These maniacs are deranged. They thought this was the right thing to do!

But it gets worse. This year they apparently decided to hold a competition and award medals in a new sport called “domestic violence”. I mean, they didn’t call it that. Officially it was “women’s boxing”.

But my descriptor is more accurate. What else do you call it when you allow men (people with XY chromosomes, i.e. NOT women) to compete in a sport carved out for women?

Imane Khelif of Algeria and Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan had been disqualified from the 2023 Women’s World Championships because according to International Boxing Association (IBA) president Umar Kremlev, a DNA test proved they had XY chromosomes.

In English, that reads: “Because they were men.”

But the IOC is way more “progressive” than the IBA, so they let these not-women compete in women’s boxing. As I write this, both of these not-women have clinched medals in “women’s boxing” in the 2024 Olympic Summer games.

I’m going to go ahead and predict that they’ll continue to do well. Because they’re men. Men can fight really well. They tend to be stronger, have denser bones, denser muscles, lots of nice “fighty” testosterone.

It’s one of the reasons we used to discourage the practice of men fighting women. But we’ve “progressed” now, so…

And as a final “go f**k yourself, athletes!” they held a swimming competition in the famously filthy Seine river. Want a triathlon medal? Just swim as fast as you can through sewage and dangerous bacteria! Be somebody!

I mean, the French government said they cleaned it all up (in less than a month) We should totally trust them, right? Cleaning an entire river must be easy, right? And when has a government ever told a lie?

I don’t know about you all, but I’m sick and tired of being treated this way. I say we reverse this dangerous and poisonous ideological trend.

If we don’t, we may literally lose Western Civilization — and it won’t be “immigrants” who did it to us. We will have done it to ourselves.
