It's time for the Haman Nature "First to Ruin the World" semifinals!

Our epic bracket-style game where we try to determine, oh so scientifically, which of 16 carefully curated things will be the first to ruin the world is down to the semifinals!

How did we get here?

We started with four divisions with four “contestants” each. In the Culture Division, Round One, Taylor Swift went up against David Hasselhoff while Miley Cyrus faced off against Tom Cruise.

Swift and Cyrus won that round, and when pitted against each other in Round Two, Taylor Swift again emerged victorious!

In the Politics Division, Round One, Jerome Powell (current Fed Chair) went up against Janet Yellen (former Fed chair) while Joe Biden was pitted against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Yellen and AOC came out ahead in Round One, and in Round Two, The ole’ Fed Battle-axe once again emerged triumphant!

In the Conspiracy Division, Round One, the new King Charles of England faced off against the Military Industrial Complex, in the form of the much-beleaguered Boeing Corporation. Also, it was spy vs. spy as America’s Central Intelligence Agency went up against England’s Military Intelligence, Section 6.

King Chuck and the CIA won Round One, and in Round Two, the CIA came out on top again.

In the Weed Pourri Division, Taco Bell faced off with a very beefy McDonalds while Saved By the Bell battled Skynet.

These were very tough, very close, very serious matches, but Taco Bell and Skynet came out on top, and in Round Two, Taco Bell “squeaked out” a victory.
